About Melissa
I’m an avid reader. I’ve worked as a library media specialist for 20 years; (18 in a public school library and 2 in a town library). Prior to this experience, I earned a living as a freelance writer. Currently I write for several regional and one national publication. In May 2023, I published my first non-fiction book.
I just can’t put down a book, journal article, or informational essay. Some of my favorite book topics are history, gardening, and beekeeping. You will see one page of this blog devoted to Christian fiction and non-fiction. I devote a majority of my reading life to inspirational materials that point me to the Bible on a daily basis.
Currently I am a member of a local writer’s group where we discuss current projects, future goals, and the writer’s life.
